Cressi Desert Men’s 4 mm Neoprene Dry Suit

In addition to its high-quality finishes in seams, heat-sealed areas, and patterning, DESERT stands out for the use of pre-compressed neoprene from 7 to 4 mm. This neoprene offers excellent thermal protection at the bottom due to its incompressibility, while requiring very little ballast. It also reduces the need for bulky undergarments as used with trilaminate suits.

The stiffness of this type of neoprene has been compensated with an Ultraspan© outer lining with a glossy finish, providing excellent hydrodynamic glide and high elasticity in all directions. In this way, we combine comfort equivalent to a wetsuit with a premium appearance and outstanding technical performance.

Areas prone to wear are reinforced with Small Dyamond© outer fabric: shoulders, upper chest, armpits, crotch, knees, and shins.

LIQUID SEAL seam sealing ensures higher resistance to wear and fraying. Areas that may require repair or replacement—cuffs, collar, and booties—use traditional stitching to facilitate replacement if needed.

Neck and wrist seals are made of ultra-elastic neoprene with Ultraspan lining, 5 mm (wrists) and 3 mm (neck), easily replaceable in case of deterioration.

Sitech© valves: the inflation valve is located on the chest with a lateral push to prevent accidental activation, and the deflation valve is positioned at the top of the left arm.

BDM© 8-pitch marine brass zipper ensures high reliability without excessively affecting the suit’s elasticity in the dorsal area. The suit access has been oversized to facilitate donning, and the zipper is protected with an outer flap to prevent tears and abrasion.

Neoprene pocket on the hip with YKK zipper.

Knee/shin area reinforced with Tatex® elastic wear-resistant pads. This type of reinforcement hardly limits neoprene elasticity, provides sufficient protection, and makes the suit easier to put on.

Booties without soles, with reinforcement limited to support areas to maintain adaptability to different foot sizes. Sole made of high-abrasion Black Diamond© fabric. This facilitates stock and order management, improves the suit’s thermal efficiency, maintains standard fin sizing, and avoids the critical rigid-boot/calf junction—one of the areas most prone to damage and water leaks in drysuits.
