For activities requiring precise heading control, we recommend using our higher-performance Reactor 40 models. The Compact Reactor features a gear pump design with limited performance compared to similar-flow piston pumps. Not recommended for power steering installations, engines over 150 hp, or vessels with heel angles exceeding 12 degrees. For best results, the pump should be mounted within 6' of the steering cylinder.
