Harken Small Boat furling systems enable trailerable cruising and dinghy sailors to set and furl the jib directly from the cockpit. The system allows for convenient sail management without leaving the helm. An optional hoistable ball bearing halyard swivel can be installed on the headstay to raise or lower the sail without removing the headstay. These swivels operate independently of the headstay, permitting separate tensioning of the luff from the mast rake.
Headstay Installation: An optional hoistable ball bearing halyard swivel can be installed on the headstay, allowing the sailor to raise or lower the sail without the need to remove the headstay.
Independent Swivels: The swivels are independent of the headstay, which allows for the luff to be tensioned separately from the mast rake.
Included Components: The system includes the furling drum and the upper swivel.
Excluded Components: The hoistable swivel is not included in the standard package.
