The 30 HB CAR helm pump is fitted with non-return valves, preventing any unwanted movement of the cylinder(s). It also has pressure relief valves to protect the circuit against abnormal pressure build-up. Depending on the model of LS hydraulic cylinder associated with this pump, a complete movement from port to starboard will take between 2.3 and 6.4 turns of the steering wheel.
