sMRT ALERT AIS DSC Man Overboard Device
Enhanced Localized Recovery with VHF DSC and AIS Technology
The sMRT ALERT is a revolutionary device for man overboard (MOB) situations that combines VHF DSC (Digital Selective Calling) and AIS (Automatic Identification System) technologies to significantly improve and accelerate localized recovery in emergencies.
Designed for easy integration with any life jacket, the ALERT includes multiple attachment options and can be armed and secured quickly, ready for immediate use.
The device allows status checks via a mobile app and emits audible and visual alerts, giving the user confidence. Its automatic water-activated system ensures immediate distress signal transmission via DSC, while real-time AIS transmissions provide precise positioning to nearby vessels.
In case of an alert, it transmits position via the VHF AIS frequency and via DSC (sending a VHF DSC message to all ships within range).
It complies with the latest regulations, including transceiver acknowledgment, so it stops transmitting when an acknowledgment is received. Programmable with the vessel’s MMSI, even by the user. Activation occurs through water contact, making it compatible with any life jacket by installing it at the inflation tube.
By combining two-way communication, automatic emergency alerts, and precise tracking, the sMRT ALERT provides an advanced and reliable solution for man overboard situations.
