Optimal vibration damping and easy installation: the best of two models in a single design.
This new flexible coupling from VETUS combines the best features of the well-known UNIFLEX and BULLFLEX models at a lower price.
The Combiflex coupling has been designed to ensure optimal damping of torsional vibrations generated by cycle irregularities, especially at low revolutions.
The flexible rubber element ensures quiet, vibration-free transmission, without backlash between the engine and the propeller shaft.
The Combiflex coupling is protected against shear, both axial and radial, ensuring safe transmission under all circumstances.
The Combiflex coupling also provides excellent alignment of the propeller shaft. Perfectly aligning the marine engine and the propeller shaft can be a laborious task, but Combiflex makes installation easier. Even with a misalignment of 2 degrees, the shaft will remain perfectly centered in the gearbox flange. The parallel clamping hub makes installation easier and, even more importantly, the removal of the shaft assembly.
Compared with a tapered clamping hub, the costly machining of the shaft no longer requires tapering or keyway cutting.
Simply cut the shaft to the desired length, remove burrs, degrease and install.
The Combiflex features a 4" flange compatible with most common gearbox models.
For the most popular Volvo, Yanmar and Kanzaki gearboxes, special adapter flanges are available. Please consult for the correct types.
