Product description

The Battery Protect off non-essential loads before the battery is fully discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it runs out of enough charge to start the engine

12 / 24V self-regulated
The BatteryProtect automatically detects the system voltage

easy programming
The BatteryProtect can be set to connect / disconnect to several different voltages. The seven-segment display will indicate which setting is chosen.

A special configuration for Li-Ion batteries
In this mode, the BatteryProtect can be controlled by the BMS VE.Bus.

Ultra low current consumption
This is important in the case of Li-Ion batteries, especially after a low voltage disconnect. See our data sheet battery Li-Ion BMS and the VE.Bus manual for more information.

Overvoltage protection
To prevent damage delicate equipment overvoltage occur, the load is disconnected whenever the DC voltage exceeds 16 V respectively 32 V.

A flameproof
No relays but MOSFET switches, therefore no sparks.

Delayed alarm output
The alarm output is activated if the battery voltage drops below the preset trip level for more than 12 seconds. Therefore, when starting the engine no alarm. The alarm output is an open collector output short-circuit proof to the negative rail (less) with a maximum current of 50 mA. Normally, the alarm output is used to activate an audible signal, an LED or a relay.

Load disconnection delayed and delayed reconnection
The load is switched off 90 seconds after the alarm has been activated. If the battery voltage increases again toward the switching threshold in this time period (after, for example, the engine has started), the load is not disconnected. The load is reconnected again 30 seconds after the battery voltage has exceeded predetermined voltage reconnection.
