● Calculate and send 6 running dynamics metrics to your compatible device
● Battery life: Replaceable battery lasts up to 1 year (using 1 hour per day)
● Automatically turns on and off
● Tiny Size – At less than 0.5 ounces (14 grams), you'll forget it's there
● Compatible devices connect with the Garmin Connect™ Mobile app to automatically sync your data and connect with other users
● Running Dynamics Pod easily clips to the waistband of your tights or shorts to measure running dynamics data.
● You can run without having to wear a heart rate monitor. Once paired with your compatible watch1, clip it to the center back waistband and start running.
● View and analyze important running metrics like cadence, stride length, ground contact time and balance, vertical oscillation, and verticality ratio. These biomechanical measurements can help you understand your running technique so you can perform better on race day.
● How it works
● Pod Running Dynamics has an accelerometer in the pod that measures torso movement to calculate 6 running metrics:
● Cadence is the number of steps per minute. Shows the total number of steps (right and left leg combined).
● Ground contact time balance shows the left and right leg balance of ground contact time during running. Shows a percentage. For example, 53.2 with an arrow pointing to the right or left.
● Stride length is the length of your stride from one footfall to the next. It is measured in meters.
● The vertical oscillation is the suspension phase during the movement you make when running. It shows the vertical movement of the torso in each step, measured in centimeters.
● Verticality ratio is the ratio of vertical oscillation to stride length. Shows a percentage. A lower number usually indicates better running form.
● Ground contact time is the amount of time you spend on the ground in each step you take when running. It is measured in milliseconds.
