The 20 HB CAR helm pump is fitted with non-return valves, preventing any unwanted movement of the cylinder(s). It also has pressure relief valves to protect the circuit against abnormal pressure build-up. Depending on the model of LS hydraulic cylinder associated with this pump, a complete movement from port to starboard will take between 2.7 and 4.6 turns of the steering wheel.
