This set incorporates an auto-trigger device, which activates upon immersion in water. Once activated, the MOB AIS Crew1 device transmits GPS location data to all vessels and coastal stations in the coverage area, aiding in rescue if necessary.
Its integrated PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) transmits for a minimum of 24 hours from activation, providing information such as heading, distance, and survivor position to all vessels equipped with AIS receivers and to land-based VTS (Vessel Traffic Services) stations within a 4 nautical mile radius.
