The stainless steel through-hull mounting sleeve is compatible with almost any vessel and hull type. This accessory, along with an optional fairing block, can accommodate hulls up to 29 mm thick at 12 degrees deadrise, or up to 19 mm thick at 20 degrees.
A built-in self-closing valve allows the ForwardScan transducer to be inserted and removed from the sleeve while on the water, simplifying transducer installation and maintenance. By pre-installing the ForwardScan sleeve and fitting the included watertight blanking plug, boat builders can make a new vessel ForwardScan-ready. This allows the transducer to be added later as a DIY on-water upgrade. The package includes the stainless steel sleeve and the watertight blanking plug, but does not include the transducer. This configuration facilitates system integration into new hulls without the need for initial permanent penetrations.
