Set consisting of 24 MVSV 2V 580Ah gel cells, supplied in 2 transport boxes. Allows 12V, 24V or 48V battery banks to be configured via series and parallel connections.
This set comprises 24 gel cells from the MVSV range, each with a nominal voltage of 2V and a commercial capacity of 580Ah. It is intended for high-capacity stationary systems requiring reliable energy storage, continuous operation and flexibility to adapt the battery bank to the electrical characteristics of the installation.
Connecting the 24 cells in series allows a 48V, 582Ah nominal bank to be configured. They can also be arranged in series-parallel configurations to increase capacity while maintaining a lower voltage:
- One string of 24 cells: 48V and 582Ah nominal.
- Two strings of 12 cells in parallel: 24V and 1,164Ah nominal.
- Four strings of 6 cells in parallel: 12V and 2,328Ah nominal.
In a series connection the voltages add up and the capacity remains the same. In parallel the voltage remains the same and the capacities add up. To ensure balanced operation, all strings must contain the same number of cells and use units of the same range, model, capacity and state of charge. New cells must not be combined with used units.
Valve-regulated lead-acid technology keeps the electrolyte immobilised in gel and requires no water topping up. The cells can be installed in a vertical or horizontal position, always with the same orientation throughout the bank. In horizontal installations, each unit must be individually supported on a suitable rack along its entire surface.
