The EV-400 Sail pack is designed for large sailboats. The pack includes: EV-1 sensor, ACU-400 drive unit for type 2 and 3 drive units, the rudder sensor, the Evolution wiring kit, and completing the set, the P70s control unit. Drive unit not included.

Raymarine Evolution is a new generation of adaptive autopilots. This technology is born from the culmination of Raymarine's autopilot experience, FLIR Systems R&D and the application of the most advanced aerospace guidance technology with new AI control algorithms, all of which delivers a new level of autopilot precision control.

Evolution autopilots steer the boat with such precision that not only do you reach your destination faster, they also help save fuel.

No calibration required!

This autopilot delivers superior performance compared to any other autopilot available on the market. It requires no calibration process and no adjustment to the vessel it is installed on. This innovative breakthrough uses Evolution AI control, algorithms that allow these autopilots to perceive their environment and instantly calculate steering commands.

It provides precise monitoring of heel, yaw and heading. The result is precise and reliable vessel control, allowing the autopilot to adapt instantly to the boat's speed or sea conditions.

EV sensor: superior technology

The centerpiece of the Evolution system is the EV sensor, which features a 9-axis electronic compass and integrated heading computer.

The EV sensor is able to detect heading variations caused by waves or wind gusts in combination with heel. This allows the autopilot to respond taking into account instantaneous sea conditions and changes in the boat's dynamics.

Another advantage of the EV sensor is the auto-compensation of magnetic fields. The accuracy of the new sensor, below 2° in any condition, is one more point for the safety of systems such as MARPA or AIS.

Maximum performance in racing, cruising and leisure

Evolution autopilots help get the maximum performance out of the boat. They are completely flexible and respond to any need offshore.

Easy and automatic installation

Installing the autopilot is very simple and quick, only 30 seconds are needed thanks to auto-setup installation. Select the boat type, rudder type) and the level of accuracy (high, standard or simple). Once these parameters are defined, it is the Evolution algorithms that will allow the pilot to adapt to the boat and to the weather and sea conditions at any given moment.

They offer great freedom of installation compared with the restrictions of conventional heading sensors; the EV sensor can be installed above or below deck, upside down or away from the centreline of the boat. It also has Plug and Play connections.

Autopilot control unit: ACU-400

The robust ACU-400 provides reliable autopilot drive power and also supplies power to the SeaTalk ng bus. It supports Raymarine type 2 and 3 drive units, hydraulic, linear and rotary mechanical units.

Evolution autopilots can be controlled from the p70s and p70R control units. These units feature full-colour displays and run thanks to Raymarine's LightHouse user interface, which makes them a very simple and quick device to use.

The viewing angle is 160°, it has an anti-reflective coating to improve visibility in full sun, button or rotary control for sail and power applications, support for multiple data sources and SeaTalk ng, NMEA 2000 and SeaTalk connectivity
