The Carbo Ratchamatic is a load-sensing ratchet block designed for optimal performance in varying wind conditions. It rolls freely in both directions under low loads and automatically engages the ratchet as loads increase. Shifting between ratchet and light-air modes is seamless. The HTE (high-threshold engage) version of the 57 mm block features a stiffer spring to delay ratchet engagement, allowing the block to run free more often. This design enables the ratchet to engage at higher loads, facilitating freer movement of the kite sheet for crisper gybes.

Seamless Transition: Shifting between ratchet and light-air modes occurs seamlessly.
HTE Version: Features a stiffer spring on the 57 mm block to delay the point where the ratchet engages.
Free Running: Allows the block to run free more of the time under typical sailing loads.
High-Load Engagement: The ratchet function engages at higher loads to allow the kite sheet to run free for crisper gybes.
2x Grip: Provides 20:1 holding power in big breeze or steady conditions.
