Raymarine Evolution autopilot pack designed for mid-sized sailboats. It steers the boat with extreme precision. No calibration required. Includes: ACU-200 drive unit with rudder sensor @ 12/24V, EV1 sensor, p70s control head and the wiring kit. Drive unit not included.
The EV-200 Sail pack is designed for mid-sized sailboats. The pack includes: EV-1 sensor, ACU-200 drive unit for type 1 drive units, the rudder sensor, the Evolution wiring kit and the p70s control head completes the set.
Raymarine Evolution is a new generation of adaptive autopilots. This technology is the culmination of Raymarine's autopilot experience, FLIR Systems R&D and the application of the most advanced aerospace guidance technology with the new AI control algorithms, all of which delivers a new level of autopilot precision control.
Evolution autopilots steer the boat with such precision that not only do you reach your destination faster, they also help save fuel.
No calibration required!
This autopilot delivers superior performance compared with any other autopilot available on the market. It requires no calibration process and no adjustment to the vessel it is installed on. This innovative breakthrough uses Evolution AI control, algorithms that allow these autopilots to perceive their environment and instantly calculate steering commands.
It provides precise monitoring of heel, yaw and heading. The result is precise, reliable vessel control that allows the autopilot to adapt instantly to boat speed or sea conditions.
EV sensor: superior technology
The centrepiece of the Evolution is the EV sensor, which houses a 9-axis electronic compass and integrated heading computer.
The EV sensor is able to detect heading variations caused by waves or wind gusts in combination with heel. This allows the autopilot to respond taking into account instantaneous sea conditions and changes in the boat's dynamics.
Another advantage of the EV sensor is the auto-compensation of magnetic fields. The new sensor's accuracy, below 2° in any condition, is one more point in favour of the safety of MARPA or AIS systems.
2 versions of the core: EV-1 and EV2
The sensor core has two versions. The EV-1 for Raymarine drive systems connects via SeaTalk to the Control Unit (ACU), from which power and signals are routed to the hydraulic or mechanical drive units.
The EV-2, for drive-by-wire systems, uses a standard connection for Teleflex Optimus 360, Volvo Penta IPS or ZF Pod Drive type control and drive units.
Maximum performance in racing, cruising and leisure
Evolution autopilots help you get the maximum performance out of your boat. They are completely flexible and respond to any need offshore.
-Racing performance, perfectly suited to racers, for when precise course holding is especially important to get there first.
-Cruising performance, maintains a superior course and clean tacks under any circumstances
-Leisure performance, for relaxed sailing when all you want is simply to enjoy the sea and forget about the course.
Easy to install
Installing the autopilot is very simple and quick, it only takes 30 seconds thanks to auto-setup installation. Select the boat type, steering type) and the level of precision (high, standard or simple). Once these parameters are defined, Evolution's algorithms allow the autopilot to adapt to the boat and to the weather and sea conditions at any given moment.
They offer great freedom of installation compared with the restrictions of conventional heading sensors; the EV sensor can be installed above or below deck, upside down or away from the boat's centreline. It also features Plug and Play connections.
Autopilot control unit: ACU-200
The robust ACU-200 provides reliable autopilot drive power and also supplies power to the SeaTalk ng bus. It supports Raymarine type 1 drive units, hydraulic, linear and rotary mechanical drives.
p70s and p70sR control units
Evolution autopilots can be controlled from the p70s and p70sR control units. These units feature full-colour displays and run on Raymarine's LightHouse user interface, which makes them a very simple and quick device to use.
The viewing angle is 160º, it features an anti-reflective coating to improve visibility in full sun, button or rotary control for sail and power applications, support for multiple data sources and SeaTalk ng, Nmea 2000 and Sealtalk connectivity.
